Do You Remember Your First House?

The first house or apartment is always so exciting. Maybe you just got married and this is your first big step as a married couple. Or perhaps this was your declaration of independence from your parents. Or maybe you just found the home of your dreams and it was everything you wanted from floor to ceiling. Whether it was determination or living the dream, your first home was or is something super special!

Sadly, many people neglect to capture these special moments on film and store them correctly. Instead, these memories are tossed away or lost in the shuffle. Like a first kiss or a newborn baby, your first home is important to remember. MemoryScrapbooks.com can help you preserve this wonderful experience through Photo Storage options that you’ll just love.

Apartment living can be a little cramped. MemoryScrapbooks.com has compact Photo Storage Boxes that can easily fit underneath your bed, couch, on a shelf, or in a closet, making for an easier way to store those special memories of what it was like to go out on your own for the first time.

If you’ve found your dream home, be sure to take pictures as you make it your own! Start capturing and storing your renovations with these great Pioneer Photo Albums. As you watch the evolution of your house into a home, try to journal about your experiences. When you flip through your scrapbook years later, you’ll be greeted with a smile and fond memories of that first place that you could call your own.

Is your 4th of July barbecue the highlight of the summer? Does your family participate in the Veteran’s Day or Memorial Day parades that run through your town?

Scrapbooking is Good for You

Feel GoodLife is full of moments that are so joyful and satisfying.  These moments are great, and are to be treasured and remembered forever.  Scrapbooks help us make these moments memories – the times that help balance the scales for the less than wonderful days we have from time to time.

A favorite quote of mine reads, “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”  Bearing this in mind can help you live a better, more fulfilled existence.

Telling yourself a story through pictures and other pieces of the past, or giving yourself some time to sit and complete a project, can be a very therapeutic, enriching exercise.  Does this sound like a familiar activity?  It should – it’s  what we do when we scrapbook!  The benefits of scrapbooking are more than just something that will keep our minds and hands busy.  Scrapbooking is an outlet that can help us forget a day that just didn’t go so well by remembering the times that were just right!

In the end, scrapbooking is a way to remind ourselves that we’ve got the proof in pictures, quotes, and newspaper clippings that we are making the most of our time, love and life!

Don’t Be Embarrassed, Me & My Family Take Pictures of the Turkey, Too!

I know it sounds silly – I know it sounds crazy – but one thing I make sure to do every Thanksgiving is take a picture of the Turkey!  Yes, I’m the person who makes everyone wait to dig in, just so I can get a picture of the bird and all the fixings to go along with it.  Get frustrated if you wish, but I know you have the same desire to document that perfect turkey for future generations to look at and wonder, “Why in the world would you take a picture of the turkey?!?”

I’m sure you’ll be asking yourself the same question at some point.  But MemoryScrapbooks.com has the excuse you’ll need to give into your turkey photography desires!  Use the picture of the turkey as the centerpiece of your Thanksgiving Scrapbook!

You may be thinking, “Isn’t Thanksgiving all about family?”  At it’s foundation, it certainly is.  But try surprising your dinner guests this Thanksgiving with hot dogs and apple sauce.  I bet they’ll have a  nervous breakdown if they don’t see that bird!  The food isn’t necessarily the true symbol of Thanksgiving, but it is the part that brings everyone to the table.
