Easter Scrapbooking Tip: Picking the Right Symbols

Easter Basket

Scrapbookers like us already know that the holidays are a great source of inspiration for scrapbooks. However, when it comes to putting one together for Easter, where can you even begin? To help you put together the perfect keepsake designed with Easter in mind, has come up with a great list of symbols present throughout the Easter season that make for great accents or focuses in any of your scrapbook layouts.

Easter eggs: Eggs have been a symbol of spring since ancient times and often represent new life.

Easter bunnies: The rabbit was a symbol of abundant new life in ancient times, and reminds us of spring and new life.

Baby chicks, bunnies, ducklings, or other baby animals: Baby animals born in the spring also represent spring and new life.

Easter lilies: These white blooms symbolize new life as well as Jesus.

Lambs: Represents Jesus, “the Lamb of God”

Crosses: Symbolizes Jesus’s triumph and resurrection.

Palm branches: Represents when Jesus arrived in Jerusalem on the first Palm Sunday and people waved palm branches, welcoming him.

Springtime flowers: Daffodils, hyacinth, crocuses, lilies and tulips bloom in the spring, and symbolize spring and new life.

Pastel or bright colors: Also show new life but draw inspiration from nature.

Once you’ve chosen your symbol, incorporate it into your Easter Scrapbook to capture the spirit of the season.

Easter Scrapbooks for Joyful Baskets

Easter Basket

Do you remember what it was like to get that perfect basket on Easter morning? What it filled with eggs? Candy? Little gifts? Baby chicks?

Easter baskets are a fun and festive way to celebrate the magic of spring with your family. This year, instead of thinking about going traditional for the occasion, do something a bit more fun and inspired and create an Easter Scrapbook for your children to enjoy!

To start, choose a festive scrapbook from Next, fill it up with photographs of Easter mornings past, pictures of springtime flowers, baby chicks, bunnies, or other creatures that delight your child and capture the spirit of the season. Don’t forget to leave room for captions, little notes, and spaces for Easter cards so that your child can fill up this wonderful little book for many Easters to come!

After you’ve made your scrapbook, add it to your decorative baskets along with a few other yummy surprises!
